The Crystal Event is a 60-day limited-time event centered around the Crystal Factory. The Factory produces Amethyst Crystal, gives access to the Crystal Shop, and lets you locate and challenge the Crystal Boss for additional crystals and rewards.

The basic event loop is:

Earn Crystal Ore → Upgrade Crystal Factory → Produce Amethyst Crystal → Challenge Crystal Boss → Spend Amethyst Crystal in the Crystal Shop

1. Crystal Factory

The Crystal Factory unlocks when:

  • Your server lifecycle reaches Day 1 of the Season 1 Pre-Season or later
  • Your Base reaches Lv. 20

Servers already beyond Season 1 also meet the lifecycle requirement.

Once built, the Crystal Factory continuously produces Amethyst Crystal over time. You can collect it from the Factory interface or directly from the building in your Base.

The Factory has a maximum production time, so collect regularly to avoid leaving it full and wasting potential production.

Upgrading the Factory

Upgrades require Crystal Ore, which is obtained from:

  • Daily Missions
  • Progress Chests

Higher Factory levels increase Amethyst Crystal production capacity, so upgrading early gives you more value throughout the 60-day event.

Crystal Ore is not affected by Profession Skill bonuses such as "One More."

There are two ways to obtain Amethyst Crystal:

  1. Continuous production from the Crystal Factory
  2. Challenging the Crystal Boss

2. Crystal Shop

Amethyst Crystal can be exchanged for rewards in the Crystal Shop.

Available rewards include items such as:

  • Gold Brick
  • Silver Brick
  • Diamonds
  • Weekly Pass [Take All] Voucher
  • Full Mobilization Voucher
  • Other rewards

Different items have their own exchange limits.

The Crystal Shop restocks on:

The 1st of each month

When it restocks, exchange limits reset. Since the event lasts 60 days, check your remaining limits before each monthly reset.

Silver Brick

Silver Brick can be used to exchange for newly added Silver Brick packs in supported events from Season 1 onward, including:

  • Bullseye Loot
  • Glittering Market
  • Bounty Hunter

What Should You Buy?

There is no perfect order for every account, but prioritize limited and difficult-to-obtain rewards before spending everything on common resources.

The Weekly Pass [Take All] Voucher is especially worth checking before using your Amethyst Crystal elsewhere.

3. Crystal Boss

Crystal Boss unlocks once the server lifecycle reaches Day 1 of Season 1 or later and appears on the World Map:

Monday through Saturday

You can locate a nearby Crystal Boss directly through the Crystal Factory.

Challenge Rules

  • Maximum 3 challenges per day
  • Crystal Boss cannot be rallied
  • Once dispatched, your march cannot be recalled
  • Crystal Boss Attack Damage bonus rules remain the same each day

5-Hero Same-Type Bonus

Deploying 5 heroes of the same type grants:

+30% Attack Damage to all allied Heroes

So a full:

  • Tank squad
  • Aircraft squad
  • Missile squad

activates the bonus.

Defense Hero Extra Bonus

Crystal Boss can also feature eligible Defense Heroes under Extra Bonus.

An eligible Defense Hero can provide:

+20% damage

Always check the current Extra Bonus before attacking.

The +20% Defense Hero bonus and +30% same-type bonus are separate mechanics, so try to benefit from both whenever your lineup allows it.

Do not choose a squad only by displayed Power. Actual Crystal Boss damage is what matters.

Crystal Boss Gear Tip: M3 Blue Radar

For Crystal Boss, higher gear rarity does not always mean higher damage.

An M3 Blue Radar provides:

+41 Hero Attack

Using an M3 Blue Radar on all 5 heroes gives:

+41 Hero Attack × 5 = +205 Hero Attack

For Crystal Boss damage, this can make the M3 Blue Radar a better choice than Red, Gold, or Purple Radar, since those higher-rarity Radars focus more heavily on defensive stats that provide little value when your goal is simply to maximize damage.

Before attacking, try equipping an M3 Blue Radar on all 5 heroes and compare your actual Crystal Boss damage.

Don't judge the setup by Squad Power. Test the actual damage.

4. Recommended Crystal Boss Squads

These are strong baseline formations. Your hero development, Exclusive Weapons, gear, Drone, and current Extra Bonus can change which squad performs best.

Tank

Front: Murphy / Williams Back: Kimberly / Stetmann / Marshall

5 Tank → +30% Attack Damage

Aircraft

Front: Carlie / Lucius Back: DVA / Morrison / Schuyler

5 Aircraft → +30% Attack Damage

Missile

Front: McGregor / Adam Back: Tesla / Fiona / Swift

5 Missile → +30% Attack Damage

Which Squad Should You Use?

Start with your strongest developed type rather than automatically using Squad 1.

Before attacking:

  • Check the current Defense Hero Extra Bonus
  • Keep 5 heroes of the same type when possible
  • Put Defense Heroes in front and Attack/Support Heroes in the back
  • Equip M3 Blue Radar on all 5 heroes for the extra Hero Attack
  • Equip your strongest relevant gear in the other slots
  • Check Exclusive Weapons
  • Check your Drone setup

A mixed squad may have more Power but lose the +30% same-type bonus. Only use it if actual damage testing proves it performs better.

Use Your 3 Attempts Smartly

Instead of blindly repeating the same attack:

Attempt 1: Use your expected best squad and record the damage.

Attempt 2: Change one important variable, such as a hero, formation, or gear setup.

Attempt 3: Use the better setup or test one final improvement.

Change only one major variable at a time so you know what actually improved your damage.

5. Crystal Boss Rewards

Crystal Boss has two main reward systems.

Weekly Progress Rewards

Weekly Progress is based on:

The damage tier reached in a single challenge

It is not based on the total damage accumulated across multiple attacks.

Higher single-challenge damage unlocks more reward tiers, including:

  • Amethyst Crystal
  • Universal Speed-Ups
  • Other rewards

Weekly Progress and its rewards reset every week.

This means your main damage objective should be:

Push your highest possible single-challenge damage.

Achievement Rewards

Crystal Boss also has achievements for:

  • Reaching a specified cumulative number of attacks
  • Reaching specified single-challenge damage thresholds

Rewards can include:

  • Hero Shard & Exclusive Weapon Choice Chest
  • Upgrade Ore
  • Resource Choice Chest (SR)
  • Other rewards

Achievement Rewards reset according to the Season cycle.

Because cumulative attacks are also rewarded, try not to waste your available daily challenges even if you cannot immediately reach the next damage tier.

5 heroes of the same type grant +30% Attack Damage to all allied Heroes.
