Choose the pair for your next activity, not just the two highest-level cards. Core cards persist beyond the season, but their conditions still decide whether they help.
S4–S6 framework · Reviewed 18 October 2026. Combat names below follow the documented S5/S6 setup terminology. Check your version's tooltip; the economy example is labelled separately.
Mobile attacking
Quickstride — Morale Boost +
Battlestreak — Morale Boost
Why: combines the marching-focused morale option with a passive sustained-fighting option. Best considered when you spend the battle attacking and moving, not sitting in a building. A passive pair also avoids relying on an active skill you regularly forget to press.
Match it with: the attacking regular-card set in Tactics Cards. Read both morale conditions before expecting both effects in every fight.
Victory Streak · sustained PvP
Battlestreak — Bloody Recovery +
Battlestreak — Morale Boost
Why: activate recovery before chaining eligible World Map PvP victories. Bloody Recovery restores lightly wounded units after a win; the morale card rewards the victory chain and has an interaction with the recovery state. Returning to Base removes the morale chain.
Use it when: you can keep winning without returning to Base. It does not revive dead units, make an unwinnable fight safe, or act like Garrison's instant-return skill. Check the current recovery window, victory limit and cooldown.
Battle companions: inspect Battlestreak — Duration, Battlestreak — Victory Cap and Battlestreak — Attribute Boost. Duration needs an active recovery state; Victory Cap helps only when the existing limit constrains you; Attribute Boost addresses under-capacity penalties rather than refilling troops.
Quick March · active pair
Quickstride — Quick March +
Quickstride — Morale Boost
Why: the active marching skill can support the passive morale card when its extra speed reaches a useful threshold. This is not a guaranteed additional morale tier; compare your actual report. Check both World Map and Contaminated Land conditions.
Siege and ruins · S5/S6
Destruction — Demolition Expert +
Destruction — Morale Boost
Why: the active siege state and ruin-clear morale work around a specific objective, not general hero damage. Confirm that your profession can perform the necessary ruin-removal action. A card's defending Base Attributes do not change its separate siege Tactical Skill into a defense-support skill.
Base Attributes are not the Tactical Skill
Battlestreak and Quickstride Core Cards in the reference set provide PvP Attacking Hero HP, PvP Attacking Hero Attack and PvP Attacking Hero Defense. Garrison, Destruction, Rapid Training and Harvester — Rapid Gather provide the corresponding PvP Defending attributes. Monster Slayer has Reduce Damage Taken from Monsters.
The interactive details show these buff types, not the account-specific percentages, power or enhancement previews visible in the example screenshots. Active skills have a use window/cooldown; passive skills still have conditions. Enhancement levels and ascension affect different parts of a card.
Building defense
Garrison — Defensive Regroup +
Garrison — Morale Boost
Why: a garrison-focused pair for holding objectives and preparing the next reinforcement.
Garrison — Duration is the regular-card companion to inspect for the active window.
Do this first: agree on the objective, activation time and who reinforces next. Do not assume the regroup effect applies to every kind of defeat or every game mode.
Attack + defense · flexible pair
Quickstride — Morale Boost +
Garrison — Defensive Regroup
Use it when: you alternate between attacking and reinforcing objectives. The first card supports qualifying marches; the second gives you an active regroup option for eligible building defeats. They serve different moments, not one simultaneous damage bonus.
Trade-off: you give up the second specialist morale card. Quickstride morale is not a garrison bonus. For the regular cards, use the illustrated Attack + defense set in Tactics Cards.
PvE, then back to PvP
Purgator — Monster Slayer +
Quickstride — Morale Boost
Why: Monster Slayer supplies the monster-related skill for the seasonal obstacle. The second slot is a PvP follow-up choice, not a claim that Quickstride — Morale Boost adds monster morale. If you only want PvE, pick that second slot by its actual PvE benefit instead of forcing this pair.
Use it when: the monster skill helps a worthwhile first clear or progression step. Check resistance, duration and cooldown before the attempt.
Daily economy · S4 names
Harvester — Rapid Gather +
Rapid Training
Why: two separate utility actions: gathering and training. Plan each around the task described in its tooltip; they do not multiply one another into a combat bonus. This is a daily routine pair, not an attacking set.
Where should the next upgrade go?
- Choose the role you will play this week.
- Compare each equipped card's next effect and price.
- Upgrade the effect you can actually use.
Levels use Profession EXP; ascension uses duplicates. A level-reset token does not automatically refund an ascension. Read the confirmation screen before committing.
In the documented S4–S6 UR progression, level 5 totals 9 million EXP and level 10 totals 30 million. Moving from 5 to 10 therefore costs another 21 million, not 30 million more. Verify your current preview before budgeting.
Before the event
Have the intended pair equipped while swapping is still possible. Core cooldowns can restrict card changes, so do not wait until an urgent fight to discover that your old card is locked. Check which active effects the event allows.
